New Take and Bake Pizzas: Quick, Easy and Delicious

How many days a week does dinner time roll around and you’re hungry but don’t feel like making dinner? Well for me, it’s almost every night. Not only am I hungry, but I’m also tired and want great food fast. Oh…I should mention I’m also a college student so it’s even better if my meals are fairly inexpensive.

Shown here: Sausage & Mushroom - Red Sauce, Mozzarella & Romano Cheese, Italian Sausage and Mushrooms.

One of my new go-to dinners are Lunds and Byerly’s new take-and-bake deli pizzas. What I love about these new pizzas is that their delicious and you don’t have to dirty any extra dishes because the packages are what you use to bake the pizzas in. That makes for easy cleanup (which is extremely helpful when you have roommates who don’t do the dishes!).

Regardless of the stereotype college kids get with their unhealthy eating habits, I do like to eat fresh and local food. The new take and bake pizzas are all made with fresh, local Wisconsin cheese and other high quality ingredients.

There will be 20 different varieties rotating in and out of the lineup throughout the year, such as buffalo chicken, sausage and mushroom, and smoked tomato and pepperoni , just to name a few.

The next time you just don’t feel like making dinner and are in the mood for a delicious, fresh pizza, head to your nearest Lunds or Byerly’s and pick up one of these new take and bake pizzas.

Shown here: Buffalo Chicken - Creamy Buffalo Cheese Sauce, Mozzarella & Parmesan Cheese, Buffalo Chicken Meat and finished with Blue Cheese.

If you’ve already tried one, what’s your favorite variety?

They were sampling the pizzas last night at the Burnsville location. I tasted a little square of the pepperoni and sausage version. Awesome crispy thin crust, a very nice sauce, and high quality toppings. Had it not been to hot to fire up the oven, I would have immediately tossed one in my cart! Soon. Very soon!
